So much is the task carried out by Nurses from all over the country, that it is not enough to celebrate their day on the International Nursing Day that is celebrated every year in the month of May. In the Argentine Republic, on November 21 we celebrate Nursing Day, because on that date, in 1935, the Federation of Associations of Catholic Nursing Professionals was founded, which named the Virgin of Remedies as its patron saint, whose holiday falls on that date.
This date accounts for the origin and historical journey of this profession, which continues to push for recognition in professional health careers in different jurisdictions of our country.
Argentina is one of the Latin American countries with the most disadvantaged Nurse/population ratio and, at the same time, with a percentage of Bachelors of just 11% between Nurses and Nurses in activity.
