Night of Redemption

Two weeks before the start of Ramadan, Muslims commemorate the Night of Redemption (Baraat), when, according to tradition, God showers those praying with blessings.
In Arabic, baraat means "non-attachment", "complete separation", "purification".
On the night of Baraat, Muslims usually keep vigil, read the Koran and pray.
