Considering that in El Salvador and throughout the world, the vendor performs an important function for the economic and social development of the people; That it is a duty of the State to grant its recognition and encouragement to those unions that patriotically make a valuable contribution to the aggrandizement of country; That as an incentive to the Salvadoran vendor, the second Saturday of October of each year should be declared "Salvadoran Vendor's Day" - LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY - REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, DECREE No. 246, October 4, 1979.
