The pistachio is considered one of the most valued nuts in our gastronomy. Among its many properties, it helps us to regulate cholesterol levels, maintain a good blood pressure, control weight and have a healthy and balanced diet. Every February 26th is celebrated the World Pistachio Day, the fruit of a shrub native to the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, considered one of the healthiest and most valued nuts in the world.
It contains vegetable proteins, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium, and therefore helps to reduce blood pressure and heart rate in stressful situations. On the other hand, pistachios are a source of vitamin B6, which helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. It also contains vitamins K, E and B1.
Moreover, pistachios are low in fat. It is the nut with the fewest calories and on the other hand it is one of the most satiating. It is therefore a good ally for weight loss diets.
