This December 19 marks the International Emo Day, whose subculture was born during the 2000s.
This initiative emerged as a manifestation of genres such as hardcore punk and over the years young people were defining particular characteristics and ideals.
As for their clothing, they wear tight pants, t-shirts with names of bands or soloists, wide belts with studs and long, straightened hair.
Dark tones become the main exponent of their clothing. They use make-up with shaded shades in the eyes and strongly pronounced eyeliner.
On a cultural level, young people would be related to sensitivity, emotion and shyness.
Musical tastes are linked to bands such as Blink-182, Green Day, My Chemical Romance and Panic! At the Disco, among others.
