Chemists are in charge of studying the theoretical, practical and methodological basis of the behavior of the substances of matter, their nature, properties and transformations, as well as the laws, principles, properties, reactions and processes in which they participate, both in natural and artificial systems.
Chemist's Day is commemorated to remember Enrique Herrero Ducloux, who was the first doctor in Chemistry in Argentina, and also obtained his degree in 1901 at the University of Buenos Aires.
In fact, Ducloux became dean of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the University of La Plata in 1919 and was undoubtedly one of the great scientists of the beginning of the century.
It is worth mentioning that professionals in Chemistry can work in university environments, pharmaceutical or agricultural companies, in product development, among other things.
