Krampusnacht in Austria

Krampus Night is held on the eve of Saint Nicholas Day. In the evening, according to legend, an evil hairy devil appears on the streets - Krampus, sometimes accompanying St. Nicholas, and sometimes on his own. Krampus visits homes and businesses and unlike the North American versions of Santa Claus, in these celebrations if Saint Nicholas only cares about the good kids, then Krampus is responsible for the bad ones.
