Since October 22, 2017, every year on this date the National Day of the Orillero Singer is celebrated, in commemoration of the birth of the musician and poet José Teodoro Larralde. Driven by followers of his work, and with the support of María Inés Villar Molina, national deputy for the Movimiento Popular Neuquino, remembering the day Don Larralde was born pursues the purpose of being a tool to disseminate his work and, with it, the roots that, through folk tunes and octosyllables and arpeggios, preserve the tradition of a feeling of national being, keep in the popular imaginary the myth of the Argentine heritage.
