The leading role of cavalry soldiers in our history has given countless examples of outstanding military performance and courage. On April 23rd, the Argentine Army celebrates the day of the Cavalry in honor of its Patron Saint Saint George.
The Cavalry celebrates its day and also that of its Patron Saint "Saint George", a mounted saint, a young officer in the service of the Roman Empire who died for upholding his principles, did not measure the consequences of his attitude and gave his life for it.
