The professional traits of a healthcare worker are characterized by a whole range of human values, among which empathy, attention, concern, responsibility, kindness and a number of other virtues play an important role. The medical profession requires a high internal ethical culture, and one of the main character traits of a nurse is honesty. The level of general cultural development, familiarity with literature, art, and the ability to organize self-education are important for the formation of a doctor's personality.
Given the importance of the healthcare sector and the contribution of its employees to the vital interests of individuals, society and the state, and in support of the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, on June 13, 2023, according to Presidential Decree No. 327/2023, the professional holiday of healthcare workers, the Day of Healthcare Workers, is celebrated annually on July 27 in Ukraine.
