Every November 27th is celebrated in Argentina one of the most historical holidays: the Day of the Pension Workers, in honor of the same date, but in 1943, when Juan Domingo Perón took office as Secretary of Labor and Social Security.
On October 28, 2009, Law 26,533 established this day as a holiday for all the workers of the Social Security Secretariat, which depends on the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of the Nation, the National Administration of Social Security (ANSES) and the provincial and municipal Pension Funds.
