Since 2007, the Argentine Republic has been celebrating Political Scientist's Day on September 23rd. This is stated in the text of Law 13470, which establishes this day in commemoration of the birth of Dr. Mariano Moreno, in 1778, the first man to reflect on political activity in our country.
In Argentina there are two dates to celebrate political scientists: one is September 23rd called "National Day of the Political Scientist", in memory of Mariano Moreno (1778-1811), on the anniversary of his birth, considered one of the founders of the Argentine nation-state, the first man to reflect on political activity in the country. The second date with identical denomination, corresponds to November 29, in homage to the Argentine political scientist Guillermo O'Donnell (1936-2011), on the anniversary of his death, being established in Law No. 27,131 of 2015.
