On August 12, 1806, the Reconquest of Buenos Aires took place after the First English Invasion.
On August 12, in the Reconquest of Buenos Aires, a heterogeneous citizenship of men, women, children and old people; Creoles, Spaniards, aborigines and Afro-Americans, all united by the decision to defend their land. It was the beginning of the feeling of Homeland and the beginning of the military organization that finally derived in the conformation of the armies that fought for the independence in the different battlefields.
