Thailand is well-known for its postcard-worthy beaches, majestic limestone cliffs, friendly locals, and glimmering temples. The multi-skilled, multi-tasking and ever-mindful journalist is in demand in these times of media disruption in Thailand, as well as elsewhere in Southeast Asia. Young Thai reporters discover how strong forest governance helps to overcome poverty and social justice, protect biodiversity and fight climate change.
On March 5, all media professionals in Thailand celebrate their professional holiday, National Journalist Day (Wan Nakkhao), also known as National Mass Media Day. Journalist Day was established to commemorate the foundation anniversary of the Reporters’ Association of Thailand.
