Every March 8 is celebrated the Hospital Workers' Day (Decree N° 1178/85, 04/03/1985), which not only includes doctors, nurses but also all men and women working in the field of public health, policy makers in the health field, as well as educators, administrative staff, the scientific community, pharmaceutical professionals, technicians and community workers; in short, they are people working in different professions and trades, whose common goal is to improve the health of populations.
