January is School Boards Appreciation Month, a great time to highlight the critical role that an elected board of trustees plays in communities and schools across the United States.
This annual event is an opportunity for everyone to recognize the important role and dedication of local school board members and to express their appreciation and gratitude for their public service.
School Board Recognition Month celebrates the countless hours of unpaid elected volunteers who serve on school boards. These local leaders give their time and energy to budget issues, oversee the management of public and private schools, and serve their local communities.
