To be a teacher means to work patiently and firmly, to be astute, subtle, strong, resilient and persevering. Above all, it means knowing how to love and clearly understanding the influence that can be projected on students.
Venezuela celebrates Teacher's Day, remembering that January 15, 1932 when, during the presidency of Juan Vicente Gómez, educators formed the Venezuelan Society of Teachers of Primary Instruction to defend the labor rights of teachers and improve education in the country.
Years later, this date was proclaimed to honor Venezuelan educators and remember the creation of the Venezuelan Society of Teachers.
