The date was instituted a year later, in August 1949, when the federal entity obtained union status and held the first ordinary congress in the city of Rosario. On August 31 of that year, they signed the first National Collective Bargaining Agreement with the electricity sector and July 13 was instituted as Electricity Worker's Day.
