On July 3, 1943, a group of enthusiastic and pioneering radio broadcasters decided to organize in Buenos Aires and founded the Argentine Society of Broadcasters (SAL), which gave rise to the entity that brings them together and also to the commemorative date of the " Broadcaster's Day” in Argentina.
Seven years later, in 1950, July 3 was chosen in commemoration of the foundation of the SAL, as the date to celebrate the Announcer's Day in homage to the great voices of national radio and television thanks to the enthusiasts Roberto Galán and Pedro Olmo, among others.
