Bioengineering is one of the youngest engineering disciplines in which the principles and tools of engineering, science and technology are applied to the problems presented by biology and medicine. Interprets and provides technical solutions to the needs of human and animal medicine and biology using electronics, computer science and mechanics as the main tools.
On July 3, 1992 - with 8 graduates - the first collation of Bioengineers of the Faculty of Engineering belonging to the National University of Entre Ríos takes place, a date on which since then the "Day of the Bioengineer" has been celebrated in Argentina.
