Food service workers include waiters (the term waiter refers to both male and female servers) of many different types, as well as counter attendants, dining room attendants, hosts, fast food workers, kitchen assistants, and others. To recognize these amazing people The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) created Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week.
This holiday was first created by an organization that would go on to become part of the AHF in 1985. It was through their dedication that the US Congress would officially recognize Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week and celebrate the men and women who have been providing much-needed nourishment for patients and staff for generations.
Fast food workers must always be polite and respectful. You must be able to keep your cool when customers aren't as nice as you'd like... Remember, many people are in your establishment because they're rushed, under pressure, and don't have time for a "real" meal.
