Dentist's Day in Chile is held on September 27. This event in the third decade of the month September is annual.
This date has been celebrated every September 27 since 1917, when Law 3.301 was enacted, which gave legal existence to the university degree of Dental Surgeon.
The study of teeth and the treatment of their ailments is a practice that dates back to time immemorial, with the concern of human beings for the cleaning and care of their teeth since they began to design and build tools, both to reduce or eliminate damage from dental disease and to modify the dental structure mainly for aesthetic and other reasons.
