Crown Prince Haakon, in full Haakon Magnus, (born July 20, 1973, Oslo, Norway), heir apparent to the Norwegian throne, the only son of King Harald V and Queen Sonja. Although Haakon was the second child to Harald V and Sonja, he was from birth the heir to the throne.
He is the great-grandson of Norway’s first king in the modern era, and first in line for the throne. Haakon Magnus has so far navigated his duties well, and proven quite apt at avoiding scandal.
