Since July 3, 2025 Ukraine celebrates a new holiday - the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This decision is fixed by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 17/2025 dated January 8, 2025.
The purpose of the holiday is to honor the courage and heroism of servicemen who defend the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of the state. Army aviation is a reliable shield in the sky, which performs important combat tasks, often risking their lives.
The holiday is also aimed at the beginning of new military traditions that reflect the modern stage of development of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Did you know that army aviation not only supports ground operations, but often becomes a symbol of mobility, strength and endurance? Its role is especially important in crisis situations, because it is able to react quickly, deliver supplies, evacuate the wounded and maintain morale on the front line.
Army Aviation Day is an opportunity to remember those who conquer the sky for the sake of peace on earth. Let's support these warriors and be proud of their dedication to Ukraine!
