The Maritime Days in Bremerhaven are an exciting harbor festival that takes place every year in August. Proud ships, including windjammers, sailing boats, motor ships and even a steamship, gather in the maritime city of Bremerhaven. Bremerhaven is a city in northwestern Germany. Together with Bremen, located 60 kilometers away, it forms the land of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
The crews of the sailing, steam and motor ships invite you to the “Open Ship”. You can experience the impressive ships up close, including the “Alexander von Humboldt II”, the “Nao Victoria”, the “Galeo Andalucia” and many others.
Entertainment: The program includes a musical firework display on Saturday evening, a buccaneer village with the world's smallest Ferris wheel, cabaret and a medieval market. There is also a street food festival with delicacies from all over the world.
Wine deck: Guests can enjoy fine wines accompanied by piano music on the wine deck.
Science mile: Touching and trying things out is expressly encouraged here.
Children's area: Aqua paddlers, kids' quad racing, a play mobile and face painting provide fun for younger visitors.
Music: From pop to soul, you can listen to great music on the Container and Radio Bremen stages.
