The Gebersheim Bakehouse Festival is a traditional event that takes place four times a year to sell fresh bread, baked goods and other delicacies from the 150-year-old bakehouse.
The exact date of the first Gebersheim Bakehouse Festival is not known. However, it is assumed that the festival has been taking place for many centuries. Originally, bread was baked in the bakehouse for the villagers' own consumption. Later, the bread was also sold at markets in the surrounding area.
Freshly baked bread and pastries: The highlight of the festival is, of course, the fresh bread and baked goods that come straight from the bakehouse. In addition to farmhouse bread and wholemeal bread, there are also yeast plaits and other sweet treats.
Cozy atmosphere: The bakehouse festival usually takes place outdoors and offers a cozy atmosphere to linger and enjoy.
Opportunity to get to know the village community: The festival is a good opportunity to get to know the village community and talk to other residents.
