The celebration of World Recycling and Clean Air Day was established in 1977 by some countries, on the third Thursday of November, when the World Health Organization (WHO) raised the issue internationally, due to its concerns about polluting emissions affecting human health and in response to the mobilization of civil society on environmental issues.
This day is a call to humanity in the face of the persistent deterioration of the environment due to pollutants from industrial gases, vehicles and forest fires. It is also a reminder against environmental degradation that has dire repercussions for human life and the good condition of ecosystems.
