In 2020, the World Health Organization launched the Global Strategy to Accelerate the Elimination of Cervical Cancer as a Public Health Problem, with a resolution endorsed by 194 countries. Led by survivors and advocates, the launch marked the first Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action with the launch of local campaigns and the lighting of more than 100 landmarks in teal, the color for cervical cancer elimination.
Leaders, survivors, advocates, partners and stakeholders around the world will call for action to eliminate cervical cancer through dialogue. Together, we will share stories and educational resources to detect, prevent, treat and ultimately eliminate cervical cancer.
Together, we remind the world that everyone can contribute, every community matters, and every country can eliminate cervical cancer.
