International World Heritage Day commemorates the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Convention signed in Paris on November 16, 1972 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO.
Currently ratified by one hundred and ninety-three countries, it sought to establish and conserve certain places for their "outstanding universal value", forming an international community that identifies and protects the cultural and natural heritage of the planet, beyond the places where they are located and the societies that treasure them, making their recognition and awareness issues of general and universal scope.
