The Virgin of the Victory is the main patron saint of Malaga and its Diocese since December 8, 1867, when she was proclaimed by means of a brief published by Pope Pius IX. It is a local holiday in the municipality. Every September 8, the city celebrates the feast of its Patron Saint, Santa María de la Victoria.

The Virgin of San Lorenzo is a Catholic Marian invocation, patron saint of Valladolid, of whose city she holds the title of Perpetual Mayoress. It was decided to move the date to September 8, Day of the Virgin of San Lorenzo, patron saint of Valladolid since 1916.
