Some values are: respect, tolerance, decency, objectivity, coherence, among others.
The Human Values Day is commemorated every year on July 29 and its purpose is to regulate the conduct, improvement and moral and spiritual dignity of each person. It was sanctioned by Law 25.787 in 2003.
By means of this regulation it is established that on this day all educational establishments in the country must teach allusive classes aimed at exalting the meaning of the values that dignify and ennoble human relations. The concept of human values encompasses all those universal goods that we acquire, assimilate and transmit in our lives and that motivate us in our daily decisions, helping us to our self-realization and improvement.
The enactment of this law arises from the fact that during the last military dictatorship, a massive and systematic violation of fundamental human rights was practiced through the organized apparatus of power, which acted in the form of State terrorism. The purpose of this law is to lead Argentines to reflect on those principles and moral character that contribute to the self-realization of individuals and societies, as well as to a spiritual appreciation.
