On July 6 of each year, the Bolivian Public Health Workers' Day is commemorated, a date set by the Ministry of Labor since 1992, in recognition of the sacrificed work performed by this guild. In this context, the Ministry of Health expresses its recognition to the health workers who work with the commitment to improve the health of men, women, boys and girls, defending their rights to a dignified and healthy life.
It is worth remembering that July 6 is framed as "Health Workers' Day", because in 1952 a group of 20 brave workers created their first Union that included not only nursing personnel, but all those involved in the area.
