Help us

Every June 10 in Argentina we commemorate the Day of the Affirmation of Argentine Rights over the Malvinas (Día de la Afirmación de los Derechos Argentinos sobre las Malvinas), Islands and Antarctic Sector on the occasion of the appointment of the first Argentine governor in the Malvinas Islands, in 1829.
The full exercise of sovereignty was interrupted on January 3, 1833, when British forces occupied the islands, expelled the population and the Argentine authorities established there and replaced them with others of British origin.
The Argentine people maintains its permanent and unwavering determination to recover, through the peaceful means of diplomatic negotiations, the full exercise of sovereignty over the Malvinas, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands and the surrounding maritime areas.
