President Luis Abinader issued Decree 335-21, declaring May 30 of each year as Freedom Day, in homage to the national resistance and to the victims of murders, disappearances, torture, abuses and abuses committed against the patrimony of the Dominican state during the 31 years of dictatorial government led by Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina.
