Bacteriology is a branch of microbiology, which in turn is a branch of biology and is in charge of the study of microorganisms or living beings called microbes. The clinical laboratory is where professionals such as biochemists, clinical laboratory graduates, pharmacists, bacteriological chemists and parasitologists work.
On April 28th of each year, the day of the bacteriologist and the clinical laboratorist is celebrated (Día del Bacteriólogo y del Laboratorista Clínico). These professionals work in the study, diagnosis, treatment and cure of diseases of living beings, both bacteriological and viral in origin.
