The 1990s could have been the end of many things in Argentina: companies, projects, organizations, but not Racing. The fans were vital to prevent the disappearance of the club. All of them deserve a very happy day today. On March 7, 1999, thousands of fans filled the Cilindro despite the fact that the team had not been authorized to play due to the club's bankruptcy. At the beginning of 2009, the Supporters' Department became an official part of the institution's organization chart. In this context, the Board of Directors officially approved the celebration of Racing's Fan's Day on March 7.
