This day was chosen and approved by the Congress of Referees of AIAF, the Association that brings them together, in honor of the referees who on April 6, 1952 entered for the first time to referee and impart justice in a soccer field in the interior of our country.
The Uruguayan Association of Soccer Referees (AUDAF), is the association that gathers the referees that act in the soccer and futsal matches of the Uruguayan Soccer Association, both at professional and amateur level and in formative divisions and feminine soccer.
To all of them, those who have no fans, those who referee in the Maldonado High Soccer League, those who work but also those who have retired, and to each and every one of the referees scattered throughout Uruguay, send our sincerest greetings and thanks for the attitude and respect with which they have always treated their work.
