Today in El Salvador we commemorate the National Day of Biosphere Reserves and Biological Corridors of El Salvador, as a way to raise awareness among the population about the importance of natural areas in our country.
Citizens and organized sectors of the country need to be sensitized and involved in processes of education and environmental culture for an adequate sustainable development of El Salvador, for which it is appropriate to declare June twenty-ninth of each year as "National Day of Reserves of Biosphere and Biological Corridors of El Salvador" (Decree No. 408, Date: July 10, 2015), as a way to sensitize citizens and sectors of the country about the importance of Natural Protected Areas that constitute the natural heritage of the Salvadoran State.
