The professional holiday of financial workers will be celebrated in Ukraine annually on July 24. The corresponding draft Presidential Decree was approved by the government at a meeting on September 15, 2021.
The initiator of the introduction of the new holiday was the Ministry of Finance. The draft decree was developed "in order to honor selfless work, a significant contribution to the development of the financial system of employees in the financial sector and to increase the prestige of the work of a financier."
The date of July 24 was chosen because on this day the Orthodox Church of Ukraine commemorates the memory of St. Olga, Equal to the Apostles.
