In 1985, the assembly of the International Union of Architects established July 1 as the day to remember its foundation in Switzerland, 1949. The Architect's Day is celebrated in Venezuela every July 4, as a tribute to the foundation of the Venezuelan Society of Architects (Sociedad Venezolana de Arquitectos), in 1945. That day, seven renowned architects met and signed the document that would start the operation of the SVA.
