A day that was proposed on Facebook to do without Facebook one day in the year. World Day without Facebook on February 28th was created on the initiative of a Facebook user group to contain addiction to social networks and increasingly intrusive advertisements and privacy issues.
With roughly 2.89 billion monthly active users in the second quarter of 2021, Facebook is the biggest social network worldwide. This powerful social media has now become an automatism and even a routine for many of us. We take a look at the thread of news, we stay informed, we like the articles and pictures of our friends without realizing how much of our interactions are now happening mainly online.
