Guarani Language Day in Paraguay
Guarani Language Day in Paraguay is held on August 25. This event in the third decade of the month August is annual.
The Day of the Guarani Language is a special celebration of the national calendar that has its origin on August 25, 1967; date in which the National Constitution was promulgated and in which Guarani, language of the Tupi-Guarani family, was included for the first time in history as the national language of Paraguay and was also granted legal status.
A symbol of Paraguayan identity, a sweet language, direct like few others, and capable of stealing a laugh with a single word, Guarani keeps the forcefulness and binding capacity of a language that surpasses conventions to become a symbol of Paraguayan identity.
