This event took place on August 7, 1819 at the crossing of the Teatinos River, near Tunja.
This date recalls the confrontation that occurred between the Liberation Army, led by Simón Bolívar, and the invading troops of the Spanish royalist division, whose mission was to take the territory of Santa Fe de Bogotá.
