Locals who are born in Colorado called themselves natives, although, so do another historic group of Native Americans. There are two large Native American reservations located in the southwest region of the state. They are home to two Indian casinos, which are the only ones located outside of Colorado’s main three casino towns: Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek.
With statehood being 100 years after the signing of the nation's Declaration of Independence, Colorado's nickname became the "Centennial State." Colorado is also called "Colorful Colorado," presumably because of our magnificent scenery of mountains, rivers, and plains.
What do wheel clamps, hard candy, and the most epic fast food restaurant ever have in common? They were all founded or invented in Colorado, of course!
