Raspberry Cream Pie has layers of cheesecake filling with a raspberry jam topping, tucked into a flaky pie crust with whipped cream on top. Dating back as far as the 1880s, raspberry cream pie seems to find its confession in England during the Victorian times. Or at least that's where one of the first recipes for the dessert seems to have been published, in a cookbook by James Clarke called “Tasty Dishes”, which was published in London.
This beautiful pie is super easy pie to make, and both the crust and custard can be prepared in advance. Crisp buttery pastry, plus custard, cream, and a mountain of raspberries is such a perfect combination.
