The Bayreuth Spring Festival, which takes place every year in spring, is a highlight in Bayreuth. It traditionally begins on the Saturday before Easter with a ceremonial beer tapping by the Lord Mayor. For over 65 years, Bayreuth showmen have been organizing this popular funfair on the fairground, offering a wide range of attractions for the whole family.
With a total of 36 different rides, including timeless classics such as carousels and boat swings, as well as exciting new attractions such as the “Mexico City” rollercoaster and the spectacular “No Limit” ride, which takes visitors to a dizzying height of 45 meters, there is something for everyone.
A special highlight of the festival is the big fireworks display, which lights up the sky over Bayreuth in brilliant colors at 10 pm on the second Saturday of the festival. On Wednesday, there are special family offers, including face painting and reduced prices, which are particularly popular with younger visitors.
In addition to the rides, visitors can expect numerous food stalls and four beer gardens to cater for their physical well-being. On Easter Sunday and Monday, young visitors are greeted by Easter bunnies, which is particularly popular with families.
Admission to the Bayreuth Spring Festival is free and visitors can park on the Volksfestplatz without paying a fee. The festival offers entertainment and fun for all ages and attracts many visitors every year.
