Bad Vilbel Market

The Bad Vilbel Market is the largest folk festival in the Wetterau region of Hesse. It takes place on the fairground in Bad Vilbel and lasts nine days. The market begins every year on the Saturday before the 3rd Sunday in August. There is entertainment on seven days, while the market is closed on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Bad Vilbel market is officially opened with a parade and the tapping of the barrel by the mayor in the marquee. The district animal show with horses, cattle, sheep and goats takes place again on the Tuesday of the market. The participation of the small animal breeding association is sure to be an attraction in the accompanying program.
