The Mühlhausen Town Fair has a long tradition and has been celebrated annually since 1877. Originally, it was a church festival held in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Over time, however, it developed into a folk festival with a secular character.
Today, the Mühlhausen Town Fair is the largest town fair in Germany and attracts thousands of visitors from the region and beyond every year. It is an integral part of the culture and customs of the town of Mühlhausen and a popular destination for tourists.
Funfair market: A colorful hustle and bustle with a variety of stalls where you can enjoy and buy traditional Thuringian specialties, handicrafts and much more.

Parade: On Saturday, a colorful parade with festively decorated floats and music groups parades through the streets of the town.
