The Stunikenmarkt is the only inner-city fair in Hamm. It has been held once a year over the third weekend in September (Friday to Tuesday) since 1990 and is named after the Hamm merchant Johann Bernhard Stuniken. For five days, carousels, a ghost train, a Ferris wheel and breathtaking attractions dominate the city center of Hamm. Around St. Paul's Church and on the adjoining Santa Monica Square, the Stuniken Market invites you to enjoy hours of fun. Funfair fans can look forward to free beer and free rides at the opening on Friday. Traditionally, the family day with fireworks is on the program on Tuesday.
