The Alliance for Children's Rights has been established in Mainz for over 20 years. Thanks to the Mainz Alliance, an exemplary network of volunteers and full-time staff has been successfully established to protect children and improve the living conditions of children and young people in Mainz and around the world. The aim of an event such as World Children's Day is to inform the public about the need to address children's rights here in Mainz. The aim is to improve living conditions for children and young people in Mainz and around the world.
Children have rights. Internationally recognized rights. In 1989, the United Nations adopted the most important international human rights instrument for children - the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The right to education and protection from exploitation are just two of them.
